So you may or may not know that I went to college as a Theatre major. Of course, that explains why I ended up in television marketing (it doesn’t). That said, I have found my theatre and acting skills put to use from time to time. Like just recently for example. Dan turned a few of the hosts on to the VERY cool Actual Plays being done by the Gamerstable podcast. It’s sort of a combination of AP with scripted portions to cover the gaps. Anyway, they were hitting up the Fear the Boot folks to lend their voices to some of the NPC roles in their upcoming AP, a Cthulhu-based story called “The Stygian Fragment.” So I was more than happy to give it a shot. The series does not start until October, but they released a sneak peak episode, which I was very entertained by. The production quality is quite good and it’s worth the listen. Of course, I’d be lying if I said after listening to this episode I don’t feel any pressure to make Gamers Behaving Badly super amazing.
Also, if you get the chance, check out the “Tower of the Ape” AP/Role-play drama. It’s not too bad, either.
